Argentière gives you access to some of the best skiing opportunities in the Chamonix area. The Grand Montets has blue, black, red and challenging off-piste runs. The convenient buses give you easy access to three other ski areas; Le Tour, ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers; La Flégère for the intermediate to expert skier; and Le Brévent, perfect for the beginning skier, giving them the opportunity to sample real high mountain skiing by the end of their stay. While a perfect skiing location, the area also offers much in the summer months, with well-maintained and clearly marked hiking trails, climbing opportunities and other sports facilities including an 18 hole golf course. Argentière village is only nine kilometers from the town of Chamonix and only 15 minutes from both the Swiss and Italian borders. Lake Geneva is an hours drive, as is the unmissable French medieval town of Annecy.
