This is one of two adjacent apartments on the top floor of a chalet style building in a perfect location at the foot of Les Grands Montets. It is only 30 metres from the Lognan/Grand Montets cable car/chair lifts and the Ski Bus providing easy access to the other ski areas of the Chamonix area. This duplex apartment (J), has a very warm, rustic feel with much wood and a natural fireplace. It accommodates up to 6 people. The lower level is the main living space, with a fully equipped kitchenette and living area. The living area has traditional furniture including a double sofa bed, a natural fireplace, satellite TV and a CD/DVD player; this opens out onto a balcony which offers views of Mont Blanc. The lower level also contains a bath/shower room, separate toilet and electric washing machine. There is a locking safe available for the storage of valuables. The upper level is the main sleeping area, containing the main double bedroom with ensuite shower and toilet and the open plan mezzanine with twin beds. A telephone is available. There is indoor car parking in the basement, as well as a private locker for luggage, skies and other equipment. Argentière gives you access to some of the best skiing opportunities in the Chamonix area. The Grand Montets has blue, black, red and challenging off-piste runs. The convenient buses give you easy access to three other ski areas; Le Tour, ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers; La Flégère for the intermediate to expert skier; and Le Brévent, perfect for the beginning skier, giving them the opportunity to sample real high mountain skiing by the end of their stay. While a perfect skiing location, the area also offers much in the summer months, with well-maintained and clearly marked hiking trails, climbing opportunities and other sports facilities including an 18 hole golf course. Argentière village is only six miles from the town of Chamonix and only 15 minutes from both the Swiss and Italian borders. Lake Geneva is an hours drive, as is the unmissable French medieval town of Annecy.
